These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and RivalRings (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the RivalRings app and related services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use RivalRings.
You must be at least 13 years old to use RivalRings. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use RivalRings only with a parent or guardian's permission.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information, and don't impersonate anyone else or create accounts for anyone other than yourself. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete Account).
RivalRings displays content you provide — your display name, username, profile photo, and the names of groups and competitions you create. You agree not to post content or behave in a way that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes anyone's rights. You also agree not to:
Moderation: there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You can report or block any user from their profile in the app. We review reports promptly (within 24 hours) and may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
RivalRings shows activity data and enables friendly competition. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, and use your own judgment — never push past what is safe for you to win a competition.
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how it's used — including how your Apple Health activity data is handled. Health data is used only to power the app's features and is never used for advertising or sold.
The app, its design, and its content (other than content you provide) are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You keep the rights to the content you provide, and grant us the license needed to display it to the people you compete with.
You may stop using RivalRings at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. Upon termination, your right to use the app ends; you may delete your data at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.
RivalRings is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (currently nothing — the app is free) in the twelve months before the claim.
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use RivalRings after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
